CONTI has hit a milestone – InfoComm International® has recognized CONTI for its technical proficiency by awarding the Infocomm Gold Certification. Infocomm, is the leading non-profit association serving the professional AV communications industry worldwide.
"Giving the clients comfort in our technical abilities ensures work is done proficiently and competently," stated Colby Harder, President. This achievement has not come easy to the company, with 35 years experience in the industry; it took hard work and dedication! Harder feels honoured that CONTI is the only Vancouver-based integrator with this level of certification and that such an organization has finally acknowledged that 75% of our staff has achieved Infocomm CTS technical certification.
The CTS technical certification is only awarded to those that successfully meet a set number of qualifications. The organization being awarded must have completed an Infocomm study package that includes training on various aspects of audio visual science and technology. Recipients must also have challenged the exam and achieved a score of 80% or better. The certification is highly recognized in the industry and helps CONTI move one step forward as the Canadian leader for the best in audio visual equipment, and presentation tools for business and educational environments.

A Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) performs general technology solution tasks by creating, operating and servicing AV solutions, while conducting AV management activities which provide for the best audiovisual resolutions of the client's needs, both on time and within budget.

A Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I) installs and maintains audiovisual systems by following specifications, schematics, codes, and safety protocols; administering installation process logistics; troubleshooting and problem solving systems; maintaining tools and equipment; and communicating with clients, designers, other trades, other installers and staff to provide the best audiovisual solutions for clients' needs, on time and within budget.

A Certified Technology Specialist - Design (CTS-D) demonstrates detailed knowledge of how to analyze, select and plan seamless audiovisual communications equipment interoperation. The CTS-D demonstrates his or her experience in the form of complete specifications and drawings that deliver a desired outcome to meet a client's needs. A minimum of two years' industry experience accompanies the theoretical and practical competencies.
