Lamar’s Commuter Digital Network Grows August 25 2009 @ 19:11
Lamar has recently extended its Commuter Digital Network in Vancouver by installing digital signage screens on the newly opened Canada Line. The line, which connects Vancouver, Richmond and Vancouver’s International Airport, is predicted to be one of busiest regularly traveled public transportation routes in Canada, with an estimated 100,000 commuters daily.
The network currently features over 170 screens, in more than 40 locations on metro Vancouver’s TransLink public transit system, which includes ferries, buses, trains and subways. By the time the 2010 Olympic Games commence in February 2010, Lamar expects to have screens on every platform and in every station of Vancouver’s public transportation routes.
Omnivex’s software solution manages the installation. CONTI, a full service audio visual system integrator, has been in charge with the implementation since 2007.
